Redmond–Bend Juniper State Scenic Corridor is an Oregon state park consisting of ten separate, unimproved parcels along U.S. Route 97 between Bend and Redmond. Created in 1945 to preserve old-growth western juniper woodland and keep this highway corridor undeveloped, it now includes 352 state-managed acres across 10 miles, with adjoining county land bringing the protected landscape to about 600 acres. Many junipers are several hundred years old, sustained by deep pumice soils and modest rainfall in Central Oregon’s high desert. With no campgrounds, trails, or other facilities and only limited access, the corridor functions chiefly as preserved habitat for native wildlife rather than as a destination park.
