Memorial Building was erected and dedicated in 1945 by Clay County Post No. 2 American Legion Honor Roll Committee, with David W. Henry as chairman and Leo J. Murphy, Leo E. Dubois, Victor P. George, Claude Reese, and Albert R. Morgan serving on the committee.
