Ipasha Peak is a remote 9,577-foot mountain in the Lewis Range of Glacier National Park in northern Montana, rising in the park’s northeastern section between Ahern Glacier on the southeast and Ipasha Glacier on the southwest. Helen Lake lies far below its summit, and the peak stands in a stark alpine landscape shaped by ice. The area has an alpine subarctic climate with long, cold, snowy winters, cool to warm summers, and extreme temperatures and wind chills. Like many peaks in the park, it is formed of sedimentary rock laid down from the Precambrian to the Jurassic and shaped by the Lewis Overthrust.
