Damon Point is a sandy cape at the southeastern end of the Ocean Shores Peninsula in Washington, extending into Grays Harbor. Once a 61-acre state park, it became connected to Ocean Shores when sediment formed a tombolo over a former channel, though that connection can still submerge during winter high tides. The site was long linked to the wreck of the SS Catala, whose remains lay there from 1965 to 2007; oil discovered in 2006 led to a major cleanup that also removed asbestos-containing material. More recently, Damon Point has become important for restored shorebird habitat, though public access is prohibited as of January 2025.
