Mount Wonalancet is a 2,760-foot peak in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, on the eastern edge of the Sandwich Range at the southern end of the White Mountains. Overlooking the communities of Wonalancet and Ferncroft, it takes its name from Wonalancet, a 17th-century Pennacook sachem, linking the mountain to Native American history in central New Hampshire. It shares a massif with Hibbard Mountain and stands among surrounding summits including Mount Chocorua, Mount Passaconaway, Mount Whiteface, and Mount Paugus. Though quieter than many nearby destinations, it is valued for its setting, its place within the range, and its historical association.
