Mount Tripyramid, in New Hampshire’s White Mountains and the Sandwich Range, is named for its three summits along a mile-long ridge: North, Middle, and South Tripyramid, with North Tripyramid the highest at 4,160 feet. Nearby subsidiary peaks include Scaur Peak and The Fool Killer, while The Sleepers lie to the southeast. The mountain also marks a watershed divide, sending runoff west through the Mad, Pemigewasset, and Merrimack rivers to the Gulf of Maine at Newburyport, Massachusetts, and east and north through the Swift and Saco rivers to the gulf at Saco, Maine. It is especially notable to peak-baggers because North and Middle Tripyramid are recognized New England four-thousand-footers.
