Richard Colbert Mason registered 19 United States patents, invented many devices for the oil industry, served as an engineer for the U.S.A. during World War II, and conceived the idea of Christ’s statue atop Devils Tower, which he dedicated to the Christian world and his mother. His life was associated with the sentiment, “So little he gave for so much he received; Love, Honor, Friend, God. Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men.”
