Shrewsbury Peak is a mountain in Rutland County, Vermont, within the Calvin Coolidge State Forest and part of the Coolidge Range, with Little Killington to its northwest. Its significance lies in how its slopes divide among several watersheds. Water from the northeast and southeast sides reaches the Ottauquechee River and then the Connecticut River, while southern runoff flows through Tinker Brook into the Black River headwaters. The western and southwestern slopes drain through a chain of brooks and rivers toward Lake Champlain and the Saint Lawrence system. The Appalachian Trail and Vermont’s Long Trail pass through the Coolidge Range about 1.5 miles northwest of the peak.
