Nature
Chinese Wall is a cliff and mountain peak in Idaho’s White Cloud Mountains within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area in Custer County. Rising 11,238 feet above sea level, it lies just north of Calkins Peak, its line parent. Its name comes from its wall-like cliff form. In the high, rugged terrain of the White Clouds, it is recognized both as a summit and as a striking rock face, contributing to the dramatic alpine landscape preserved within the recreation area.
