Shriner Peak Fire Lookout in Mount Rainier National Park, Washington, was built in 1932 as part of the National Park Service’s early wildfire detection system. One of four surviving lookout stations in the park, it was designed by the Park Service Branch of Plans and Designs from a standard plan of the era. The wood-frame structure has a ground-floor storage room and an upper level used for both observation and living quarters, with windows on all four sides and a surrounding balcony. It also holds architectural importance within the park’s rustic design legacy and is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places and within the Mount Rainier National Historic Landmark District.
