Twin Falls
Nature
Twin Falls is a seasonal waterfall in Silver Falls State Park, east of Salem, Oregon, along the Trail of Ten Falls on the North Fork of Silver Creek. Its name comes from its spring appearance, when the flow divides into two channels dropping over an angled basalt ledge in twin curtains about 31 feet high. By summer, one channel shrinks so much that it can be hard to see against the cliff. Although it is the third smallest waterfall on the trail and cannot be fully viewed from the official Canyon Trail overlook, it remains part of the celebrated chain of falls that defines this well-known landscape.
