The memorial honors war dead from 1941 to 1946—John Bystrak, Michael Cermak, Joseph Cermak, and Stephen Kisacky—and from the Vietnam War, William C. Bulman, who died in 1967, and Paul S. Marek, who died in 1968. It also bears a Slovak-language tribute to the young pride of the Slovak Evangelical Aug. V.V. Church, with an accompanying English translation referring to the entry of Christ into heaven.
