Priest Lake State Park is a public recreation area in northern Idaho in the Selkirk Mountains around Priest Lake, about 30 miles from the Canada–United States border. Covering 755 acres, it consists of three separate units—Dickensheet, Indian Creek, and Lionhead—on the lake’s southern, eastern, and northern shores. Its significance lies in this dispersed layout around the lake rather than in one continuous tract, providing access to multiple parts of the mountain landscape. As part of Idaho’s state park system, it preserves shoreline and recreation space in one of the state’s far northern lake regions.
