Tobyhanna National Forest in Pennsylvania was a brief federal forest reservation established by the United States Forest Service on April 10, 1925. It comprised 20,870 acres taken from part of the Tobyhanna Military Reservation. The forest existed for only a short time before the executive order creating it was rescinded on October 10, 1928, ending its status as a national forest. Its significance lies in its unusually short life as a national forest created from military lands and then quickly abolished.
