Fenton Museum is a local history museum in Fenton, Michigan, housed in a building erected in 1900 and given to the city in 1906 by the heirs of Andrew Jackson Phillips. After serving as the Fenton Library, the building became its present museum. The City of Fenton owns and maintains the site, and the Fenton Historical Society holds the collections. It is an important center for local history research, especially genealogy and cemetery records for Fenton, nearby communities, and much of Genesee County. Its exhibits preserve everyday life and civic memory, including A.J. Phillips’s recreated office, household and technological artifacts, and military items from the Civil War through the Vietnam War.
