Holly Recreation Area is a large state-run park near Holly in Groveland Township, Michigan, managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Spanning 7,817 acres of rolling woodland and open fields, it offers year-round outdoor recreation across a landscape divided by Dixie Highway and Interstate 75. Its facilities include hiking and mountain biking trails, disc golf, model airplane flying, swimming, fishing, boating, hunting, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Water features such as Heron, McGinnis, Valley, and Wildwood lakes shape the park, while camping, rustic cabins, and the Holdridge Lakes Mountain Bike Area help make it a major public outdoor destination near metro Detroit.
