North Creek Forest in Bothell, Washington, is a protected 64-acre corridor of mature second-growth conifer and hardwood forest along part of North Creek, with streams and wetlands that connect to the Sammamish River corridor. One of the last remaining mature coniferous forests in the Bothell area, it provides habitat for deer, owls, woodpeckers, mountain beaver, Pacific tree frogs, and five species of anadromous fish that spawn in North Creek. The forest also filters and cools water, stores carbon, reduces runoff, and moderates urban temperatures. Since 2011, restoration, conservation, and education efforts have helped secure and protect the full tract.
