A time capsule for Union’s 250th birthday was buried on August 18, 1984, by the Union Historical Society and is to be uncovered on August 19, 2034. The site was the stepping stone to The Center School, circa 1844, and the plaque was a gift of Gertrude and Maurice Chappell.
