Men and women from Windsor Locks served in the armed forces of the United States of America during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1973. In May 1976, the Town of Windsor Locks and the Veterans Memorial Committee honored their service and affirmed, “We cannot control the tragic things that happen to us but we can control the way we face up to them.”
