Static Peak is an 11,308-foot mountain in Wyoming’s Teton Range within Grand Teton National Park. It lies about 0.48 miles southeast of Buck Mountain, with Timberline Lake to the north, and rises east of the Alaska Basin Trail. The summit can be reached by a scramble from Static Peak Divide. A small remnant glacier persists on the mountain’s north face below the summit, sheltered from direct sunlight by steep cliffs. In 2025, reports indicated the mountain would be renamed to honor Grizzly 399, with a catalog extract noting the renaming beginning on May 1, 2025.
