East Bridgewater dedicated its veterans memorial to all the men and women who served the country, honoring those who died to keep freedom living and those who gave their full measure of devotion. Among the dead named there are service members from East Bridgewater who were lost in World War II between 1942 and 1945 in the Pacific, Germany, Luxembourg, Bataan, North Africa, Japan, France, and Belgium; in the Korean War between 1950 and 1953 in Korea and Japan, including Medal of Honor recipient Gordon M. Craig; and in the Vietnam War in 1967 in Vietnam.
