Rounds Mountain is a 2,257-foot peak on the Taconic Ridge along the Massachusetts-New York border, with its summit in New York and eastern slopes descending into Hancock, Massachusetts. Noted for its bald summit and forested sides, it offers wide views across the Hudson River Valley and toward the nearby valleys around Hancock. The Taconic Crest Trail crosses the mountain, and much of its upper slopes and summit are protected as conservation land. Part of a chain with nearby peaks such as Poppy, Potter, and Misery mountains, it also feeds local waterways through East Brook and Kinderhook Creek before reaching the Hudson River.
