Gross Covered Bridge in Beaver Springs, Pennsylvania, is a historic covered road bridge built in 1871 as a 100-foot Burr Arch truss span. It originally crossed Middle Creek north of Beaver Springs on Township Route 574, but in 1982 it was moved to its present site on Township Route 427 over a run-off channel flowing into Middle Creek after a dam and reservoir were created on the stream. Recorded by the Historic American Engineering Record in 1981 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 29, 1997, it endures as one of Snyder County’s preserved covered bridges and as an example of a once-common form of rural Pennsylvania bridge building.
