Derryclare, or Derryclare Mountain, is a 677-metre peak in Connemara, Galway, on the southern edge of the Twelve Bens within Connemara National Park. Overlooking Derryclare Lough and lying near the Inagh Valley, it is the fifth tallest of the core Twelve Bens. Its Irish name, Binn Doire Chláir, connects the mountain with oak woodland, a plain, or a plank-bridge, and nearby Bennaderreen preserves a related meaning. Linked by ridge to Bencorr, it helps form a deep eastern corrie above Derryclare Wood, a 19-hectare nature reserve designated in 1980 and noted for rare fungi, native broadleaf woodland, red squirrel conservation, climbing, and hillwalking.
