Dr. George Woodward, a homeopathic physician and surgeon, erected this two-and-a-half-story Italianate-style commercial block in 1880. Its façade, with its large arched roofline, gives it an unusual character. The upstairs was historically used as the owner's quarters, a tradition that continues today. Over the years, the building housed many different businesses. Around the 1920s it was a grocery called the Lamoille Fruit Store, and more recently it was inhabited by "Morrisville's barber," Rudy Loyola.
