Triple Falls is a 125-foot, three-tiered waterfall on the Little River in DuPont State Forest near Brevard, North Carolina, and one of four major waterfalls along this stretch of river. Long familiar to local residents, it gained wider prominence after the DuPont Forest land was sold to the State of North Carolina in the 1990s and opened to the public as cleanup progressed; a photograph of the falls helped encourage the purchase of what became a 10,000-acre state forest. Also known from film appearances, the falls remain a popular but dangerous destination, with many deaths linked to climbing on nearby rocks.
