Patterson State Park is a small Pennsylvania state park on Pennsylvania Route 44 near Sweden Valley within Susquehannock State Forest, functioning chiefly as a roadside picnic area and access point to the surrounding forest. Established as the Patterson Picnic Area by the Pennsylvania Department of Forestry between 1922 and 1925, it gained the two rustic pavilions that remain its defining features when the Civilian Conservation Corps worked there from 1935 to 1941, and it officially joined the state park system in 1950. The park now serves as a trailhead for hiking, skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, and overnight tent camping, with major regional trails passing through it.
