Frank N.D. Buchman, a world peace advocate, was born here. Ordained a Lutheran minister in 1902, he formed the Oxford Group in 1921. He founded Moral Re-Armament, a worldwide movement, in 1938. Twice nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, he was honored by many nations.
