Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach
Nature
Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach is a protected public shoreline in northern Malibu on the Southern California coast, within California’s state park system and the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. It connects the coast with the mountain landscape behind it and is made up of three separate beach areas: El Pescador Beach, La Piedra Beach, and El Matador Beach. From parking areas atop the coastal bluffs, public access trails lead down to sheltered coves and narrow beaches. The site reflects the broader Santa Monica Mountains coastal environment, where bluffs, coves, coastal sage, and chaparral meet the Pacific.
