Daniel Glacier
Nature
Daniel Glacier lies on the north slope of Mount Daniel in Washington State's Wenatchee National Forest, beside Lynch Glacier and separated from it by a ridge. It is significant for its recent retreat: from 1950 to 2005, it receded by nearly 500 meters, or about 1,600 feet. Though small, this glacier provides a clear example of the broader changes affecting mountain glaciers in the Cascade Range.
