Mount Cuba Astronomical Observatory in Greenville, Delaware, houses a 0.6-meter telescope used by the Delaware Astronomical Society, the University of Delaware, and the Whole Earth Telescope. It serves not only as an observatory but also as a local center for astronomy education and public outreach. The Delaware Astronomical Society, made up of amateur enthusiasts, gathers there on the third Tuesday of each month. Near the parking lot, the grounds also feature a Sunquest sundial designed and machined by Richard L. Schmoyer, using a mean time design with an analemma-inspired gnomon that automatically corrects for the equation of time.
