West Hill Covered Bridge in rural Montgomery, Vermont, carries Creamery Bridge Road over West Hill Brook and is also known as the Crystal Springs Covered Bridge. Built by brothers Sheldon and Savannah Jewett, local bridge builders active from about 1860 to 1890, it is a single-span Town lattice truss and one of six surviving nineteenth-century Montgomery bridges associated with them. Once part of a busier area near a creamery, the bridge became increasingly isolated as the surrounding road and settlement declined. After closing in 1994 because of deterioration, it was fully renovated in 2009 and had been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
