Middlefield's honor roll recorded the service of local men and women during the years 1917 to 1919 under the words “These Sought Not Glory But Their Country’s Good,” and it separately named those who “Made the Supreme Sacrifice”: Ernest C. Bell, Clarence Coe, Stephen Mesick, and Otto N. Miller.
