Quinebaug Woods is a 36-acre forested preserve in northeast Holland, Massachusetts, along the Quinebaug River and connected to a larger protected landscape that includes the East Brimfield Dam and Holland Pond area. Its features include river frontage, trails, a rocky hogback on Blake Hill with views toward Hamilton Reservoir, and an exemplary vernal pool that supports migratory forest birds and other wildlife. The preserve also preserves traces of the Haller family’s longtime summer camp, including a stone chimney and foundation steps. Land donated by Ben and Margaret Haller in 2001 established the preserve, which became The Trustees’ 90th property in 2002.
