Mount Osceola, a 4,340-foot peak in New Hampshire’s White Mountains within the White Mountain National Forest, is the highest mountain in the Waterville Valley region. Named for Osceola, the early-19th-century Seminole leader, it is commonly reached either by the Greeley Pond Trail, which crosses East Peak before the summit, or from Tripoli Road to the south. A fire lookout tower formerly stood on the summit and expanded the view until its removal in the late 1970s. The mountain still offers broad vistas across the White Mountains, including Mount Washington and the town of Waterville Valley.
