One of four original turbines installed at Watts Bar Dam when it was constructed in the 1940s, this Unit 4 turbine was placed here by crane in 2014 after a new modern turbine replaced it in the dam. Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works, each complete original turbine provided 42,000 horsepower and weighed nearly 1.3 million pounds.
