Mount Wilson is a 3,745-foot peak in Vermont’s Green Mountains, in the Breadloaf Wilderness of the Green Mountain National Forest. Located in Ripton and named for President Woodrow Wilson, it is one of the five peaks in Vermont’s Presidential Range, the state’s 12th-highest summit, and part of the New England Hundred Highest. The mountain is notable for straddling two major drainage systems, with waters flowing southeast and northeast toward the White and Connecticut rivers and Long Island Sound, while its northwest side drains through Lake Champlain and the Saint Lawrence system to the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. It is also a popular hiking destination on Vermont’s Long Trail.
