Mount Cleveland is a 3,482-foot summit in Vermont’s Green Mountains, in the Breadloaf Wilderness of the Green Mountain National Forest and within the town of Lincoln. One of the five peaks in Vermont’s Presidential Range, it was named for Grover Cleveland. The Long Trail crosses its summit, making it part of one of the state’s best-known long-distance hiking routes, with access from the Cooley Glen and Emily Proctor trails and a popular loop linking Mount Cleveland with Mount Roosevelt and Mount Wilson. The mountain also lies in the Lake Champlain watershed, with drainage reaching the Mad, Winooski, and New Haven river systems.
