Mount Grant is a 3,623-foot peak in Vermont’s Green Mountains, within the Breadloaf Wilderness of Green Mountain National Forest and the town of Lincoln. One of the five summits in Vermont’s Presidential Range, it is named for Ulysses S. Grant. The Long Trail crosses its summit, placing it on one of the state’s best-known hiking routes, with views south across the Breadloaf Wilderness toward Bread Loaf Mountain. The mountain also stands in the Lake Champlain watershed, with runoff reaching the lake through the Mad, Winooski, New Haven, and Otter Creek systems before continuing north through the Richelieu and Saint Lawrence drainage.
