Near Brighton, Michigan, this homestead preserves the core of a nineteenth-century family farm established by Timothy Warner, who settled there after coming from New York in 1837. He bought eighty undeveloped acres in 1841, and after marrying Lucretia Jones in 1846, the couple expanded the farm and family. Their 1855 Greek Revival farmhouse survives as the only original building after older outbuildings were removed in 2002. Passed down through generations, the farm operated until 1962. Archaeological work beginning in 2007 uncovered documented features and thousands of artifacts, making the site an important record of everyday rural life over many decades.
