The Puterbaugh Center in McAlester, Oklahoma, at 501 North 5th Street, was established in 1990 as a combined arboretum and museum with landscaped gardens and historical artifacts. Earlier known as the Garrard Ardeneum and sometimes called the McAlester Arboretum, it developed a confusing naming history over time. Today, while it remains a landscaped public attraction, its primary role is as a wedding venue and conference center.
