F. Gilbert Hills State Forest is a protected pine and oak forest in southeastern Massachusetts spanning Foxborough and Wrentham. Managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, it was once called Foxboro State Forest before being renamed for former state forester F. Gilbert Hills. The forest forms part of a larger block of public woodland, adjoining Harold B. Clark Town Forest and connecting with Wrentham State Forest, while also being managed alongside nearby Franklin and Wrentham state forests. About 23 miles of trails, including part of the Warner Trail, support varied recreation, and mysterious stone structures on the land add to its local interest.
