Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary in Sharon, Massachusetts, spans 1,971 acres and has been protected since 1916 as the oldest property of the Massachusetts Audubon Society. Adjoining Moose Hill Farm, it preserves a diverse New England landscape of forest, meadow, freshwater marsh, eskers, and kettle holes shaped by glacial history. More than 160 bird species have been recorded there, making it important for wildlife observation and for understanding regional terrain. About 25 miles of trails, including local and regional routes, connect it to a broader footpath network. A nature center acquired in 1990 and year-round public programs make Moose Hill an active site for education as well as conservation.
