George Lovell Bank, a sergeant from Tennessee, received the Congressional Medal of Honor for Civil War service in 1863; Albert Adams Clapp, a 2nd Lt from Virginia, received it in 1865; Howell B. Treat, a sergeant from Georgia, received it in 1884; and Almond Edward Fisher, a Lt. Colonel, received it for World War II service in France in 1944.
