Mount Liberty is a 4,459-foot peak in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, overlooking Franconia Notch and forming part of Franconia Ridge. That ridge is one of the range’s most prominent high mountain groups, second only to the Presidential Range in elevation. The summit of Mount Liberty lies south of Mount Lafayette, the highest peak on Franconia Ridge. Mount Liberty is also one of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s recognized New Hampshire four-thousand footers, making it a notable destination for hikers in the White Mountains.
