The rear foundation of the original Westford Academy marks a school founded in 1792, with its building completed in 1794. The academy remained in use through 1897 and was moved to 2 Boston Road in 1907. The landscape was excavated on June 3, 2017 by Elliot Coleman and Troop 195 as an Eagle Scout project.
