Caney honored its defenders from 1775 to 1918 and dedicated special remembrance to Caney men who died in World War II: Lester J. Peasall, Jr., John D. Ewers, Raymond R. Carriker, Jay C. Kirby, J. William Howser, Earl D. Brown, Clifford D. Cottle, George E. Hill, Charles. O. Keeckner, Joseph A. Richey, Gerald F. Woods, Dean M. Parsons, Wallace E. Eakes, Clarence Hurst, Ralph W. Jackson, Woodrow W. Sell, Robert E. Thornton, J. Francis Wine, and Carl G. Shafer. It also honored Korean War veterans, Vietnam War veterans, Desert Storm veterans, and veterans of all wars.
