Exchange Peak
Nature
Exchange Peak is a mountain in Southern California’s Santa Monica Mountains that rises 2,953 feet and ranks as the range’s third-highest point after Sandstone Peak. It is the highest summit in the Tri-Peaks group and forms part of the landscape associated with the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and the Backbone Trail. Its importance is chiefly geographic, because as one of the loftiest points in the range, it stands prominently among the rugged mountains that create the spine above the Los Angeles region.
