The Union Savings Bank and Trust Company opened for business in July 1891 and by June 1892 had grown into this building at 20 Lower Main Street. Over the years, Union Bank expanded into the rebuilt Green Mountain Block on the building's right, and as a regional public bank it is still headquartered in this Queen Anne style building. With its brick veneered façade, the building is one of the most impressive and sophisticated buildings in Morrisville's historic district. At one time the town library was on the second floor, and the building also served as the Town Clerk's office from 1930 until 2006. The building survived the fire of the Green Mountain Block in 1972.
