Upright Channel State Park was a small public park at the northwest corner of Lopez Island, encompassing twenty acres of island, beach, and tidelands along Upright Channel. Once part of the Washington State Park System, it later ceased to be listed as a state park property by March 2014. Responsibility for managing the site then shifted to San Juan County in May 2014 under a memorandum of understanding. Its significance lies in this transition from state to county oversight while preserving a modest coastal landscape on Lopez Island.
